Ellen Miller has over 12 years of laser experience.
For the past 9 years she has trained doctors, and their staffs, on the safe and effective use of medical aesthetic laser systems. She has also trained and certified medical aesthetic students, nurses, and many more people who simply possess a passion for the work.
Ellen has had the privilege to exchange knowledge with many of the most talented professionals and students in the industry, and she continues to train and seek the knowledge necessary to remain at the forefront of this fast paced, ever changing world of laser technologies and medical aesthetics.
The time required to complete Ellen Miller's basic certification program is commensurate with the requirement established by laser technician insurers that 30 hours of training is necessary for a technician to obtain liability insurance.
The 30 hour program concentrates approximately 50% of those hours on basic laser physics, laser safety, tissue interaction, hair histology, skin typing, aesthetic laser history, and the various applications in which aesthetic lasers can be applied.
The other 50% of the time is spent in hands on training with the lasers, concentrating on hair removal using both the Alexandrite and the NdYag lasers.
For an additional fee, more time can be added to the program to include more hands on training for hair removal and the treatment of leg and facial veins.
Class dates and hours are flexible and will be established to accommodate the needs of the students.
A one-on-one class is $2000.00 for 30 hours. In classes with two to four students, tuition will be reduced to $1500 per student. Classes can have a maximum of four students.
Included in the price of the tuition are the Advanced Laser and IPL Manual, and all the material required for the hands on training. You will be responsible for providing your own models. If arranging to work with your own models proves challenging, Ellen is often able assist with some of her own people.
